There is the chance for FIVE Americans to be left in the bottom quarter of the draw. And it could have been 6 if McDonald didn't blow a 2-0 set lead.
Tommy Paul up a set on Medvedev, and Stevie Johnson is in a 5th set now.
That's pretty awesome. Unfortunately, this is Tsitsipas' quarter, so he will very likely emerge to the semis, but still.

His first two opponents have been perfect for him. He hasn't played a grinder yet that wants to play long points. He won't enjoy that. But yeah he looks good. He can win matches just by serving well.

I seem to remember when I was young, he had a big win against J Mac.
I just can't get into the tournament so far. These night matches are garbage without fans. Things should get a lot better in the fourth round. I think the interesting matches to follow tomorrow are the big boy American servers against Tsitsipas and Medvedev.
