Pretty big douchebag move for Americans to protest an Australian great in Australia

Anyone see that spot just now about McEnroe and Navritolova protesting the name of Margaret Court being on one of the main grandstands?? Weird stuff. Wtf were they thinking, they are lucky to not get fired. Guess that is why they issued apologies already.

That Trump Derangement Syndrome gives people a ton of confidence.

Weird match. Their levels are all over the place.

Stan's style is not conducive to consistency and rhythm. Reason is he doesn't like to rally. He goes for winners from the baseline a lot. Zverev seems to be ok with playing that way too in this match. A real slugfest.
ETA and just like that Zverev breaks by being patient

But Zverev hasn't changed anything. Stan wasn't missing in the first set... now he's playing below his normal level.

Really like Thiem’s chances if he can get past Rafa, regardless of whether he plays Sascha or Stan in the semis.
Liking this even more now

Stan has surrendered. He is physically and mentally done.

Yeah disappointing. I thought the Isner retirement would have helped him in the fatigue department, but maybe that Medvedev match was just too much. It's also 90 degrees there too.

Damn... still over 2 hours until the main event

I’m tempted to root for Nadal just because of how bad Thiem’s hair is, but I’m not sure I can do it.

haha I don't know what he's going for with that

This is animal tennis.
If someone (not me) wanted to make a really bold prediction... Thiem winning 2 or even 3 slams this year is within the realm of possibility.

Awesome first set. Now I don’t know how I’ll get to sleep
