Tech's best hope for the CUSA at this point is that Tulane drops football (or goes to 1-AA) and moves to the Southland, at that point they would either pick up La Tech to maintain the Louisiana market, or more plausibly they would invite either FAU or FIU to further enhance their Florida presence and the Miami media market.

Tech fans seem to think that the Sun Belt and C-USA are an either/or scenario. They could join the Sun Belt and be invited to C-USA later. And also, my hair could grow back, my skin could turn black, and the Pittsburgh Pirates could win this year's pennant.

La Tech will be joining the Big 12 or SEC

About to change.

The whole outdraws La Tech is dumb XIV. The last 4 years the avg attendance has gone to La Tech. You bragging about Arkansas attendance helping ULM in 2010 is just as bush as LT fans whining about the SBC.

Ignore that, ULM plays a "home game" in Arkansas to boost their attendance. Their home games in Monroe average only 13,000 fans per game.

I know. But XIV is all about 2010 being listed as factual evidence. You know XIV and his big shot Lawyer approach to these arguments. XIV just tries so damn hard for ULM to remain relevant. He just can't get over the sinking ship being lost (ULM)

Tech briefly achieved separation from the UL-Xs in the late 90s with notable wins over Bama (2X), Cal, and maybe a couple of others. It made perfect sense to join the WAC at the time which had SWC leftovers Rice, TCU, and SMU; along with Tulsa. The key to get into CUSA was to walk past the velvet rope en masse, as there's no way they would be accepted on an individual basis.
Once those others left them behind, that conference no longer made sense for them. However they were too proud to return to the 'belt. Any separation now is illusionary.

If you want respect, figure out a way to outdraw ULM and win more games over a five-year period than ULM (Tech is 25-37; ULM is 25-35---OMG TECH IS AWESOME). Until then, make sure and have thick skin because you'll be the butt of many jokes.
