Who rode her Robby? Secretariat would still be a maiden if that bastard was on him. The pace in that last one was nuts. Can't believe your mom is out there. I'm surprised the Fire Marshall hasn't shut that place down yet.

She said its horribly crowded.
Graham was on her. It was her own damn fault, though I totally agree about Robbie.
She had the lead, then when she heard the crowd she started gawking. James said he couldn't get her attention back and the horses that caught her were wide. Not much can be done about that

Decent on grass, doesn't appear to give a lot of effort. I know my uncle is out there, the one that is farm manager at Gainesway. Hansen is a Tapit, which you already kenw, but they go just about everywhere that horse does.

I LOVE tapit babies, even if they are a little quirky. Careless jewel is still one of my favorite mates of all time.
I told mom to take a picture of hansen's blue tail for me.
Boy was pissed his boss ga e the ride to graham, but what are you going to do...
She lost the race herself

Holy shite, just got word Hansens tail was dyed blue and Keeneland said absolutely not, and that it was a rules violation, which I assumed it was. Stewards said no, had to wash it out or be scratched. Can't change colors of horses appearance and that blue tail wasn't on JC papers.

I saw that they said no, bit that they'd deal with it next week
Glad they said no.
Btw, just gave my mom the 7. Don't know if he got the photo or not, but I hope she listened to me and did a wps
It was the 1, but still...
Good race by the 7. He took a funny step in the stretch. Hope he's ok

I just don't get it. Those connections have been around long enough to know better. They need to worry more about winning this race than some stupid arse stunt. This is Keeneland, not some claimer track. It's a joke.

As usual, twinspires mobile has fricking server problems just in time for a big race. Looks like I get to miss bluegrass and arky derby.
I HATE my twinspires. I was at a wedding and missed all breeders cup races

I want to discuss this track later. I'm at dinner now.

Wow!
Wonder if bodmeister bounces off that?

I'd like to know what they did to groom the track today that isn't normal. They were coming from off the pace today which very rarely happens at Keeneland. Bodemeister looked amazing today, and I don't know how he could bounce when the race took nothing out of him. He was hand ridden to a wide margin.

I didn't get to watch either race
Boy called and held the phone up to the computer for me. I'll watch the replays when I get home.
I really hate synthetic shite, though

Bodemiester had a good race but I don't think the field was as quality as the Bluegrass.I say the derby is still wide open with half dozen horses that can win it.Keeping an eye on Went the Day Well.

Bodemeister is a badass. Ran solid fractions (46.5, 1:11) on the lead then easily ran away from the field down the stretch. Closers couldn't make up any ground on him when it set up pretty well. Don't see that often at Oaklawn.

So I just watched both races again. The Bluegrass was trash IMO. Dullahan had some traffic issues and came home well, however their strides late, looked like claimers. Bodemeister on the other had looked and ran like a champion. I was more impressed with how straight he came home for being "green" if you will. Watch him stride out and compare it to the Bluegrass. I really haven't seen a Derby prep look that easy since Eskandreya won the Wood. It was a WOW performance.

Glad they said no.
Only the bottom half of the tale was colored in a shade that approximates the University of Kentucky Wildcats’ blue. Dr. Hansen’s colors are yellow and blue.
The stewards said they called trainer Mike Maker Saturday afternoon after hearing rumblings that the tail would be dyed. They said Maker told them it already had been colored. The stewards sent security to the barn and said the container with the dye was taken in case its chemical makeup needed to be determined.
Hansen will not be scratched, but Borden said the stewards are not happy that the pain-specialist from Crestview Hills, Ky., went on and had the tail colored.
The hearing is a formalized way of determining if there were rules violations and to give those charged a chance to respond. The stewards have the ability to do nothing, suspend and/or fine a rules violator up to $5,000. They also can refer the case to the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission.
“We do have several regulations that that it would be against,” Borden said. “It alters the appearance of a horse… He was asked not to do it… He chose to do it anyway.” Dr. Hansen requested a meeting with the stewards between the fifth and sixth races. “I think he was a little worried that the horse was going to be scratched,” said Borden, who said the owner showed them a photo of the tail on his phone.
When Dr. Hansen was considering the possibility of running Hansen in Turfway’s Vinery Racing Spiral, he asked the Turfway stewards if it would be permissible and was told no, the Keeneland stewards said. He also asked the New York stewards for permission before Hansen ran in the Gotham Stakes, which he won by three lengths, and was turned down, with the stewards issuing a detailed written opinion.Dr. Hansen requested a meeting with the stewards between the fifth and sixth races. “I think he was a little worried that the horse was going to be scratched,” said Borden, who said the owner showed them a photo of the tail on his phone.

Yeah, they were going for a circus yesterday. They wanted to drop bracelets from a flyover the grandstand and have skywriters up above the track. Keeneland told him to GTFO.

Jesus. He's so tacky he makes repole look classy.
Sucks because he has a nice horse.
I don't know that I'll use anybody (except maybe bode) from these 2 races. I do hope sabercat, along with every other bluegrass cat, gets better for the rest of the year.

You know, I don't mind Repole. He's an arrogant a-hole, but when you have some of the horses he has had, I understand the confidence and he oozes it. This fricking idiot Dr. hansen wants to turn Keeneland into River Downs, and that shite isn't cool. The more I read about it the dumber this clown is. Turfway told him no, Aqueduct told him no, so he just does it at Keeneland? WTF, This isn't Beulah Park asshat.
