Yes, when used to describe people who are actually retarded.

That's what I was doing.

Retarded is still the appropriate verbage in medical lingo. No need to get all defensive brah.

Because that is the way you used it huh? In the future it may benefit you to know that it can be highly offensive. Especially in cases when you just throw it out there like that.

All pro sports have developed an identity similar to this. It's all self promotion, people eat that stuff up.

Same here. I try occasionally, just can't to it. I would rather watch two WAC teams play than most NFL games. Used to be a big fan as well.

I'm not here to prove my sports interests. I was merely stating that the NFL is becoming more focused on the "pageantry" than the game.

Yep...I've always liked College ball better but even more so now. Pro ball is just a bunch of "look at me, I'm so cool" kind of crap. There are still some stars that act like they've been there but they don't get the attention that the "idiot dancers" do!

When an NHL player scores a goal, the goal scorer gets hugs from his teammates. NFL showboats.

That's true, they always will be.

What I mean is, if someone makes a tackle, they have to run away from everybody and then make a flexing movement and scream at the top of their lungs.

Which is exactly why I don't give a shite about professional sports.

And which is why I am totally against the 'swagga' shite that is also infecting college football.

Celebration is good - acting like a street thug on steroids with a room temperature IQ is not very pleasing to normal folks. I can see why wrestling devotees may like it though.

I consider myself normal folk and I don't see much wrong with it. If you are LSU this year and your motto is hit, stick and don't give a you know what then I guess that's naturally how you act. I mean who's going to stop you?
