The tiebreaker is strength of schedule

Why is that the tiebreaker for last place but not for the playoffs?

Playoff order is

H2H
Division ( if same division)
Conf
Sos
Common opponent records
Flip

Idk why it's the opposite at the bottom

Jets won out if conference jags beat the colts

You mean for the first pick?
In this case it’s SOS

Jaguars have an easier schedule, therefore they get the first pick

They have a better conference record though. Which is the second tie breaker for the playoffs.

How does that get eliminated from consideration for the first pick?

It doesn’t matter

The draft is there to make bad teams better

Whoever goes 1-15 with an easier record would be the worst team, therefore they would get the first pick

It doesn’t, it’s just not the first tiebreaker (posted a link after)

Trevor would love to be in Florida compared to NY.... the Jags are pretty bad but the Jets are just plain horrible from top to bottom.... but still just the 2nd worse franchise in the NFL behind the Bengals.

Counterpoint is that if I was a 22 year old kid making that kind of money I’d rather be in a place like New York to fully enjoy it.

Jets are the worst franchise in the NFL. That’s not a debate right now.
