If it weren’t for Ron Artest bailing him out he definitely doesn’t win one of his two final titles. Pau Gasol did quite a bit as well. You can definitely take a shot at Lebron when mentioning MJ, but with Kobe....he’s not even close to the player that Lebron has been or is.
Believe me I've watched TONS of sports debate shows since Kobe retired and many former players interviewed consider Kobe probably superior to LeBron in the discussion: Stephen Jackson, Jim Jackson, Rashad McCants, etc so it isn't a recency death sympathy thing now

I think players would rather be a Kobe style player than a LeBron style player. It's always been understandable to me that players love a shooter.

Of course, they're stone-cold killas, which LeFraud is not, and that's why hardcore bball fans and current/past players hold those two in such high regard probably higher than LeBum, it's so obvious when you hear them speak on Kobe and MJ, Mamba Mentality
The killer, the mamba mentality was pretty shitty in those moments, and Lebron with no clutch gene and not being a killer was obviously better.

I'd actually choose RAY ALLEN over Bron, Allen did save LeBron's legacy with that three in the 2013 Finals, LeBron attempted a three prior to that BRICK but Bosh got the rebound luckily
