At the rate the teams have been crashing this season and repairs being hindered by the $147.5M cost cap, these cars will start looking like Nascar after wrecks with duct tape everywhere by the end of the season.

At some point, just build a tank and wreck everyone else. Profit.

If that actually happened I think it makes it even more interesting.

Verstappen had a ton of duct tape on his car after the crash last week.

Was it some sort of super special duct tape? I kept thinking to myself "there's no way they're actually putting duct tape on a Formula 1 car."

I remember the first time I saw an indycar/F1 Car/Imsa Prototype up close on a raceday. (I haven't been as close to a F1 car as the others but close enough to notice) ... I just assumed from watching on tv they were all, always kept as pristine as they look through the tv before a race.
That's not the case though, the paint and decals are all tailored to come across great on camera, but up close you could clearly see the imperfections and wear on the cosmetic parts from use, even the F1 cars, regardless if it was a 'Penske' or a backmarker ... that part was pretty cool actually.
