One that I remember was a few Saints fans saying that Vaccaro and Byrd would be the best safety tandem in the NFL.

Well, that wasnt just saint fans. Many national pundits were making the claim that the Saints had the #2 tandem behind Seattle. Byrd played 4 games, anyway.

Yeah Vacarro had a great rookie year and Byrd was a pro-bowler.
Most people in the country thought this. Saints defense fricking blew it this year. It hurts bad.
