UCLA dreams of the days where it could even think about being relevant in college football again.

Not really. I expected it after our losses on defense, and games like TTech and KState only proved to me that we would lose Ok State, Baylor, and OU. Somewhere on here I said 4 losses during the preseason to those 3 and another--looks like we avoided the "other". I'm ecstatic for 3 losses and a likely Heisman finalist.

What I found funny was a UCLA fan accusing other schools of aspiring to relevance in football. OU, Baylor, Ok State, and TCU are relevant in football. UCLA is not.

TCU is not even relevant in its own county or state much less the country.

These people are seriously screwed in the head in the ghetto.

The three things that is good is they HAD a great QB, HAD a great DLman, and HAD a chance to win a big game.

Notice everything is past tense.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course. I guess it all depends on where you draw your line of relevance.

I would ask what your criteria are for relevance, but I really don't care.

Seriously though, the Horns and HYC are much more of a national brand. The rest of the 6 schools just want some resemblance of notoriety.

First issue with TCU is where it is located it is not even in a place that is nice. Then it is a sister city. People dont ask are you going to Ft Worth, no they ask are you going to Dallas or the Metroplex.

Hell I just realized the Ponies have had more stand alone prime time games than the Frogs this year. But yes TCU is nationally relevant.

So you think that TCU, who until this week was a bubble playoff team, was a bubble playoff team last season, has a likely Heisman Finalist, and who has finished in the top 10 four times in the past decade is irrelevant in the college football landscape?

The two of you should have your rights to form opinions revoked. Either that or you're just bored and looking for a debate with a stranger online. Either way, pathetic.

Yes I sure do, they are a flavor of the month and you ask most northern and West Coast people and they will tell you the only relevant teams from Texas are Texas and the HYC.

They are the Boise of the South in most people's eyes.

You really should look up the word notoriety before you go slinging it around, because you're not using it correctly Pony-boy.

That is weak smack talk even for an SMU fan. The old "Our city is better than yours" argument. Go ask Alabama if they give a shite that their school is located in a dump of a town in central Alabama. THAT is completely irrelevant to a discussion on college football.

Edit to add: and they "want some resemblance", they "want some semblance".

Why are you so upset?

The Frogs, Tortilla Chuckers, Coog High, Team Mate Killers, Ponies, and Owls just want to be noticed. They aren't. So for the Frogs and Baylor to get noticed they start bending rules and taking chances, sad part is they never could do it as well as the big city boys. They never had the stroke of the governor or state legislature.

Yeah, no. Kansas isn't going to beat TCU.
