Francisco will be a maddening guy to have at times, but it's also nice to have another bench bat type that can come in and change the game with one swing.

The problem with Francisco is that he swings at everything and he can't play defense or run. All he can do is occasionally hit a tape measure shot. Which is fine if he's just a late game pinch hitter. Not so much if he's going to start a lot.

I think Fredi is one of the worst managers in the league but it isn't necessarily his fault that Wren makes terrible signings when it comes to the end of the bench and the last two guys in the bullpen. Since Ross is never used the only defensive upgrade on our bench is Wilson.

What would you describe Chip's role on the team as? Is he a starter who needs frequent rest, or is a bench player who spot starts here and there? If he fully accepted the bench player role, we move Prado to 3B and go after a big time OFer IMHO.

Ross is too good to not utilize as a pinch hitter when we need him in the 8th with 2 runners on, 2 out and down by 2.
