I've always wondered what that black spot is on Kimbrel's cap bill.

It can't be pine tar can it?

Probably just dirt build up from adjusting it after every pitch.

Congrats to Kimbrel for tying the rookie record for saves before the ASB

1 of only 4 teams at the 50 win plateau right now.

This team would be a world series favorite with just a little more power at the plate. Even without it, I wouldn't pick a pitching staff over ours for a playoff series.

Lets get the sweep tomorrow and then have a good series in Philly heading into the break.

I think we just need someone at the top of the lineup that's going to get on base for the big guns, the power is there. Someone that can produce an OBP of at least .340, preferably more around the .350 or .360 mark.

As much as I hate to say it, the Phils rotation is probably better set up for a playoff series, but I think it's really close

This is a 4 game series but let's still get the sweep

Obviously the Phils have the big names who have excelled in the postseason before, but looking at stats alone, the Braves starting 5 has put up slightly better numbers.

As far as bullpen goes, the Braves are ahead there. Middle relief is shaky, but there is not a better 1-2 punch in the 8th and 9th than Venters and Kimbrel right now.

This Braves team is real good. Pitching wins over hitting most of the time. The three top teams in the NIL all win primarily by pitching well. It will be interesting to see what the Phillies, Giants and Braves do around the trade deadline, I would think they all will be looking for a good batter or two.

No doubt. The Braves have the best starting 5 in baseball IMO

But unfortunately in the playoffs, you only need 4 pitchers, and at some points even just 3.

Definitely. Get us to the 7th inning and we're winning that game. And we'll be even more effective when Moylan gets back.

i truly am shocked at how good the Giants' record is considering we have the worst offense in baseball. especially compared to Philly and ATL. you give the Giants Posey and Freddy Sanchez back and this team is scary good. our pitching may be even better than last year.

congrats on the win Braves. let's go ahead and knock these Colorado fricks out of contention early.

Gentlemen! Let's plow the road!
