At first I was thinking Freddie would only be a .255 or .260 hitter this year but I'm starting to think he could get up to .285 or so this year. His approach at the plate is pretty damn good.

Still want to see him take some more walks though

If Jason is going to hit 5th or 6th the way it sounds like he's going to, I think you will see him swing a bit more freely. He spent most of last season batting 2nd, and he was just doing whatever he could to get on base, which was what he was supposed to be doing.

he missed his location on 80% and left most balls across the heart of the plate. Even two of the outs he got were hard hit balls.

nothing against him, just a bad outing. One inning isn't going to change his future outlook. He's still going to be a solid #2 or #3 guy for this team for many years to come
