I would be at peace with a loss in that case. As long as I get money back on a walkover, that's cool. At some point, it's a TKO, as BG is fond of saying.

I am sitting on Rafa +550 to win the tournament with a free $50 bet from MGM. I think the only hedge I might make is against Medvedev if it's about even money. I think Rafa frustrates sideshow Bob tonight.

but then after the first set was done, if somebody withdrew, they counted it as a loss for them.

I have seen this, too.

Well they don't do it until they do do it.

But, again, just my best guess. I think Djokovic and Rafa both have a fighting chance. I can't even completely rule out shitsy pants.

He's been gone a few days I think, but he will be back. I was worried we lost him for good a month ago.

Muchacho up 2-0 in the third.

But I would not take Djokovic at -130 to win the tourney. Those odds seem silly.

How are they silly?

He's at -150 on my site. You have to figure he will walk to the final and the guys on the other side of the draw still have an extra round to get through.

I'm surprised he's not even more of a favorite.

Barty is 24?! I swear, I thought she was 32 or something, especially because she took time off to play cricket.

Novak-130
daniil+360
Rafa+440

Yes, I'm calling that silly. Dude has been pushed in every match. McFritz took him to 5. Even dogtrash milos got a set.

Agreed, but he has free entry to the finals against Karet top in the semis.

Muchacho wins. That was very choky from Barty party. I would be furious if I bet on her.

America time. Brady v Pegula.

Those two guys at the bottom could both still lose in the quarters. In fact, they aren't heavy favorites in the quarters.

Djokovic is already thru to the semis and is playing someone he will only drop 6-7 games against.

The only reason he is not -175 or -200 is because of his "injury" concern.

Any update on when they might play Indian Wells this year?

I don't understand why they postponed it in the first place...

Idk. I remember last year IW was one of the very first sporting events to cancel due to covid. At the time I was like wtf are you kidding me. Little did I know how much covid would effect the country. They're definitely going to defer to state guidelines

Eta it will probably get canceled

Yeah, but it's not like they aren't playing golf tournaments in California as early as August of last year.

I guess the fact that 90%+ of the competing players will be traveling from outside the country can't help? Not sure what the quarantine rules would be.

I wonder if a tournament like IW would incur a big loss with no fans
