I understand perfectly how they work.
Never have I been concerned about a rival when my team has won a championship. Seems like something an insecure person does...maybe overcompensating for something?

Look, I hate the Yankees. Didn't even think about them when the Astros won the World Series in 2017 or 2022.
Or like in 2019 when LSU won the NC. I didn't give a single thought to Alabama, Ole Miss, or any other SEC team. Who gives a shite about them at that point?
All that matters at that point is that you're on top. Frick wasting a thought on anyone else.
