yeah but still teo doesn't stand out in any of the games i saw.. which was at least 6 this season.

i do agree tonight was by far the worst i have ever seen him look. arm tackle attempts.. he looked slow. he reacted slowly.. and looked so confused at times there was a play he literally was so dumbfounded he just stood up and watched the end result.

Te'o looks smaller than Eddie Lacy, who is listed as 6'1" 220

Correct but the bigger issue is how much his draft stock will fall and what his place will be in the league

I bet it won't fall at all. Te'o was no more over rated than the entire rest of the team. No one really thought an offense led by Everett fricking Golson, who got yanked against PITT, was going to beat Bama did they? This game was a fricking joke...frick 2 loss SEC teams, there are 3 loss sec teams better than ND.

Pretty much everyone I know including myself knew a massacre was coming.

As shown, Notre dame was overrated, SEC is the best. Another year showing this to be true

He's undersized and I don't think he had a solo tackle all night

How is 6'1" 250 undersized for his position?

Te'o was a joke. He got pancaked or missed a tackle on literally half the plays ran. Look at the first TD. He was completely unblocked...not like they tried at least a chip, the guard fell down and he was unblocked, and dove at Lacy's legs like he was a safety. Then throughout continued to missed tackles. Second half, 3rd and 3 he shoots the gap, gets in the backfield and grabs Yeldon by the foot and tries to hold on for dear life. This dude was garbage last night and I've never been impressed with him.

To be fair, I do think Lacy solo tackled Te'o once with a stiff-arm. Does that count?

The guy is awful.

Last night? Absolutely. Overall? No fricking way. He's definitely overrated, but a good LB still.

TEO got lucky and had lots of batted balls fall into his hands this year. 7 INT is a stroke of luck. also playing teams that have terrible O lines and soft RBs make him appear more physical than he is. he is a finesse linebacker. I would not want my team to draft this guy.

This is where alot of his heisman push came from. Even the announcers said that his INT's were a product of being in the right place at the right time. I dont think he's a bad player, he's just not anything close to the hype. He shouldn't have been a heisman candidate. He's just not that good.

#9 didnt do shite. none of them did. frick game did you watch

#9 was doing alright until they realized they didn't need to do shite to block Te'o or ND's ILBs. Te'o was terrible at diagnosing plays, was slow to the point of attack, and most of the time just got caught-up in the trash thus they started double-teaming #9.

When they tried to let Jones block #9 one-on-one it wasn't that pretty. Do you not remember him trying to reach block #9 on that inside zone when #9 blew his arse up? No one is saying he won the Heisman with his performance, but #9 was the only one on their defense with a pulse last night. He was pushing guys all over the place, but there were no Notre Dame LBs filling the gaps.

Also, if you think Te'o did even a reasonable job last night you're insane. He showed horrible gap disciple on numerous occasions. Also, you talk abou Alabama OGs swallowing him up, that's because he caught the blocks 5 yards down the field. If you're an ILB in the 3-4 you have to attack OGs and meet them in the hole. You catch blocks 5 yards downfield and you just give the RB options to cut off of.

I can easily think of 15 defenders off the top of my head I'd take over Te'o.

Bottom line......the media created Te'o, for whatever reason. If I were him, I'd be embarassed for all the awards he got. Most of the defensive players in the SEC are the best at their position in the country.
