Is that tomorrow? I don't even see it on MGM. Tough call, for being a big, strong guy, Hubi's only power is in his serve. But, he is just rock solid and probably has better grass results than FAA. I thought FAA played great at RG, but I don't have a feel for him on grass. I did sprinkle $50 on him, Shapo, and Cilic at Wimbledon. I also hit Basilashvili, a whopping $10 at +360 to beat Rublev the other day.

Yeah tomorrow.
After some research I guess it's probably right. Felix is #4 on grass and Hurk isn't top 10.
Not often you see a guy have at least 2 wins in every single tourney he's entered on a certain surface.

Cilic just pulled out of Eastbourne so he must be satisfied with his level.

I’m sure some of you guys have seen that Rafa’s wife is pregnant. He always said he’d retire when he had children. I wonder if he’ll retire after this season

He might as well if Novak only gets to play 1 or 2 slams a year.

39/4 while hitting S&V tweeners and shite

He is electric when he is on and playing really well right now. Unfortunately, Wimbledon isn't 2 out of 3 sets. He will probably draw Cilic or something in the second round and lose in four.

Yeah in the presser today he said he can’t play for more than 2 hours without getting bored. Think he was referring to practice but it’s sad either way.

these tuneups are kind of tiebreak fests.
I had forgotten how drastic the difference is between the beginning and the end of grass tournies. That could be why only the big 3 + Murray have won Wimbledon since Hewitt in 2002. That 2nd week almost plays like a different surface, and the servebots seem to lose their edge.
At least some of the modern-day servebots can rally and move pretty well compared to the Raonic/Anderson types.

Great point. When that grass is fresh, people are slipping like crazy at Wimbledon and the ball is probably shooting through the court quickly. Then, it kind of dries out, gets beat up, and is more like a baked dirt or something by the end.

The Hammer and Hurka Durka win titles today. Somebody named Haddad Maia just won two titles in a row on the women's side.

Don’t know if it means anything but Hurk is 5-0 in finals and Felix is 1-9.

Think I'm gonna do something I almost never do and go big on the favorite this year. I haven't checked every book but there should be something close to even money available.
He hasn't lost at Wimbledon since 2017 and that was a retirement vs. Berdych. Just have to wait for the draw to make sure he doesn't get Kyrgios in the 2nd round or some craziness.

I basically did this with Rafa at RG the last three years. It backfired last year, but worked the other two. It's not fun betting on someone that heavily favored, but my feeling is, go down swinging with one of the GOATs on a surface they dominate. The thing is, even he plays a hot servebot, that guy has to be able to return. Isner can't hit returns. It would take a Querrey or Anderson type guy to serve bombs and come up with enough off of return to win. Even later in the tournament, I don't see many threats other than an on fire Cilic (I think Novak owns him). On edit, I am seeing like -120 to -135 on Novak. That seems pretty steep. Rafa was -120 to win RG last year.

Yeah it’s not ideal but there is one major difference. Rafa at least had Novak as a threat. In this case #1 and #2 in the rankings are out plus arguably the best grass player of all time. How bad is this field? Ruud is the 3 seed.
Casper Ruud. #3 seed. At Wimbledon.

Mallorca courts on Tuesday. Obviously they looked even worse today. I don’t know how this is possible. Even with qualies that’s still less than a week of tennis.

Couple things before the tourney starts.
Novak is now -110 at BetOnline. I'll probably take some of that tonight in case they take it down for the draw, and then maybe add more tomorrow.
If you want a longshot and don't want to go the Querrey/Cressy/Isner route, I would suggest RBA at around 300/1. He lost to Novak in the semis in 2019, and I trust him in the later rounds more than LostGen, NextGen, or whatever Gen. Of course he would need a great draw and probably a Novak loss, but 300/1??
This Haddad Maia is really gonna win 3 grass tournies in a row and wear herself out for Wimbledon lol.
Almost forgot.... dat arse

I have to hit the golf course during the day tomorrow, but can do it at night after the draw is released. If you, MV, or Egg want it, go for it.
