whats the best strategy against a loose aggressive player? theres this guy in my homegame and he plays damn near every hand and if he has any part of it he bets it like the nuts. just wait for a hand to play back at him?

a) you can try to figure out if you can run back over him by re raising him alot or
b) you wait for a hand if he is the type of guy that will call off with anything
you can break him of his aggression by moving back at him a few times usually

Where can I find the schedule for WSOP Shreveport? I want to pick an event to play. I'll only play one unless I cash or hell freezes over and I win it.

You need to play a series to really test your ability. Otherwise you are just subject to the inevitable variance swings. AKA Run Bad juice.

If you want to play a 6-handed one you need to be prepared for alot more aggressiveness from your opponents unless you get a bunch of donk regulars from here on your table.
Posted on 7/29/11 at 5:10 pm to PokerChamp21
Well then what would you recommend a regular NLH tournament?
Posted on 7/29/11 at 5:12 pm to Acreboy
you can play the 6 handed one if you want im just telling you what to expect.
Posted on 7/29/11 at 5:13 pm to PokerChamp21
And you know my skill level and I'm asking your opinion.
Posted on 7/29/11 at 5:17 pm to Acreboy
if you are going to want to wait for hands longer id play a regular one.
Posted on 7/29/11 at 5:19 pm to PokerChamp21
You know first hand I have no problem playing Q4 OOP for all my chips
Posted on 7/29/11 at 5:20 pm to Acreboy
i would advise you play tight, because most of the players you will be playing against will be more experienced, until you get a read on them.
