I understand you have no concept of intellectual capability because you have none. Therefore you should stop speaking on the subject thus not expose your ignorance!

Get over yourself, fella. You might impress yourself, but you're not impressing anyone else. You're simply a guy on a message board that attempts to make himself look smarter by using big words in sentences that don't make any sense. I liked it better when I didn't know who you were.

5 years probably. He prob already has state retirement with Delta State and Gulfport HS. He went JUCO at Jones and then left for LA Tech. He came back to USM. He has about 23+ years. He can leave and come back and get a head job which will be his best 3 years. He's close but can leave and finish with a 3 year deal which sets him for life
In Mississippi it is your high 4. If he is receiving a PERs retirement then he can only work half time and get half pay from USM. If he isn't drawing PERS then he can work all he wants.
Mississippi has one big retirement for all government employees, city, county, public schools, colleges and state employees are under the same retirement plan.
Most of the employees pay SS, but not all of them. I know the City of Biloxi does not take out SS.

I’m confused about this- he’s a coach, not a teacher, so is this clause even applicable?
He is an employee of USM. All of USM employees are in the state retirement system

How long has he been at usm? He may not be vested and would forfeit his pension
Education retirement systems have very strange vesting and forfeiture clauses which is complicated by not paying into social security while in Mississippi teachers retirement
He has been vested for a long time, he has been in the Mississippi retirement system for decades. Mississippi's retirement system is very simple. If you are a government employee, whether is it state, city, county, college or school you are in the same retirement system. The system was 4 vested and 25 to retire. It is now 8 vested and 30 to retire.
Most of the people under the Mississippi retirement plan do pay SS. The only ones I know that do not are City of Biloxi employees

This is great info thanks for sharing. Maybe this will shut up tampon boy who is struggling using adverbs, prepositions, contractions, adjectives and apparently the Mississippi retirement system.

Thank you, I am retired in the Mississippi System and I spent a lot of time teaching new employees about the retirement system and how to take full advantage of it.

So PERS changed from highest 3 years to 4? Didn't know that but regardless he is vested with about 20 years in and needs about 8 more years. My point was that I wouldn't think the retirement plan would be an major issue in his decision.
He could always go back to the state program whenever a better opportunity than LSU pitching coach opened up.

He only needs 5 more years and PERS has been highest 4 for a long time
Since he is vested he would receive his retirement at 62 if he never comes back to the system.

When I was on the system it was the highest 3. He can retire at 22 years in? That is news to me also.

I’m not sure why the link wouldn’t work but they played the following games
1951 LSU 13 usm 0
1994 LSU 18 usm 20
2016 LSU 45 usm 10
LSU is 2-1 all time and has our scored them 76-30

Why would this dude go leave to become a pitching coach at LSU he could probably get like 90% of the P5 head jobs in the country for the same money if he really wanted to go.
Plus he'd run the show

Southern Miss and Brett Favre are still Undefeated in Internet Arguments!
And, by the way, they are also excellent in College Athletics!
