He left the option open. There certainly weren't any burned bridges.

As I said in the other thread, Sox have said they don't want to trade their young guys and the players they want to trade won't bring back a quality #2/3 pitcher. The Red Sox could trade Middlebrooks/Yoenis/and a player or two in the minors to the DBacks for Wade Miley

4 years 88 million, not a bad signing really, also red Sox in talks with Phillies about Cole Hamels if Lester falls through
