I hate to say it, but I feel like everybody is saying this and they don't really know why other than Conference Championships are the new Quarterfinals of a 8-Team Playoff.

Take this of the hundreds of scenarios:
Miami wins the ACCCG. So they're in.
Auburn wins the SECCG. So they're in.
Oklahoma wins the B12CG. So they're in.
Wisconsin loses to tOSU. So they're not in.

But wait, didn't Clemson beat one of the teams? Didn't Bama look lethargic against one of these teams? Didn't tOSU already lose to one of the three teams? Or do these earlier matchups for Strength of Schedule not matter? Didn't Notre Dame (who Miami Shellacked and Georgia played tough) also just get raped by a Stanford team that nobody respects because nobody likes the Pac this year?

Honestly, I think the committee needs to make a giant chart of possible scenarios, so everybody sees who has a chance of getting in, and just let the chips fall where they do next weekend.

Don't be bringing logic to this discussion!

Yes, either/or. Syracuse is 4-8 and Pitt is 5-7. I don't think you recover from losing to one of those teams and an additional game unless you have an absolute blistering resume otherwise, which neither of them really do.

A Miami team that loses the ACCCG is probably out (Not a Championship Caliber Team). But if we are taking Schedule and Losses into account, Clemson beat Auburn near the start of the season.

In the above example I don't see them leaving out an undefeated Big10 champ. I could see OSU winning and possibly getting left out but not Whisky.
