my buddy works in a PT office that helps rickey bustle with his back therapy. when bustle saw one of their PTs last week, Bustle told them to meet the NCAA minimum requirement of 70 players on a road trip, ULaLa had to dress 7 walk-ons for the Ohio game.

yeah, our entire team is hurt.

Yea my buddy was told if someone else got hurt on the d-line vs Troy that he would have to go in and lose his red shirt.

Not trying to flame here, but why is ULL dead set against considering Viator? Is it because they feel that they can get better? Would hiring someone from McNeese be an admission that the ULL program hasn't been as good as MSU the last decade?

I am not trying to flame, just honest questions. The last few years we hear rumors of Bustle getting the axe and then V's name starts floating around, only to be squashed by ULL supporters. Obviously he can coach, he took a group of kids that ULL didn't want (most from within 100 miles of your campus) and soundly beat Bustle in his own stadium. Just wondering if pride is keeping ULL from seriously considering a pretty darn good coach.

I think you guys need to be honest with yourselves and drop the pie in the sky scenarious and realize the right guy for your program may be 70 miles down the road.

Again, I HOPE this doesn't happen anytime soon....

Because we can afford to pay for something better. Hiring Viator would be going cheap. Hiring someone like Hudspeth is a better decision than Viator.

I understand that reasoning, but 2 years ago Hudspeth was coaching a D-2 school.

So if Viator were to become TE coach at Kentucky for 2 years, then he would be a better candidate?

Hudspeth was a very successful head coach, now he's working under Dan Mullen and he's considered a really good coach by his peers. People also keep saying Lewis Cook should be the coach, should we hire him?

When do you think he will be fired? I need some sports excitement in Lafayette.

I think once we get to 7 losses, we might pull the trigger or we might wait til the season is over.

Yep, evidenced by our basketball program. Before Marlin's first game and we've sold out most of the lower bowl of the Cajundome.

Funny you bring this up.....I've never held basketball season tickets anywhere (LSU/ULL etc), however with the change of coach, and the excitement that he appears to have brought to the program I went ahead and picked up tickets for this year.
