Consolidations on 3 and 6
You get balls back if both throwers make it
Making both in the same cup is 3 cups and balls back.
Ball is live anywhere. If you get the ball back you have to shoot behind the back
Airball and you take a cup. This rule is valid all the way until the last cup
Airballing cancels a made last cup or a redemption
Bounces are worth 2 cups, but can be blocked
No fingering/blowing the ball out of the cup
Elbow rule strictly enforced
Optional rule:
Island- you get one oppurtunity per teammate to call out a cup on its own (not touching any other cup) and if you make it then you get the ball back

I basically play the same rules as you except you get 2 consolidations or reracks to use as you see fit throughout the game instead of the auto at 3 and 6. I prefer it that way because you can get hot and not want to use it at 6, but it's whatever. Rules along the lines of those posted above are the best IMO.

I usually dont harp on the 3 and 6 thing. Its just what we are usually play because thats what they do around here.
Beer Pong is one of those sports that never gets properly portrayed on screen (TV or Movies) when it easily could be. I just watched unfortunatly "How Beer Pong Saved My Life" on Netflix Instant and not only was it a terrible movie throughout, the actual footage of playing BP was just

I agree, and that's probably why rules vary so much in different places. If someone made a legit league or movie about it and used real rules, not the ridiculous ones that are used now, there might be some uniformity to it.
