Who in this thread has ever said something of this nature? You must hang around retards if people say this to you. Soccer will always be a niche sport in the U.S., and that's quite alright with me.

The HS soccer games here in La. usually draw 20 or 30 people. Parents.
We had a professional soccer team start up here in Shreveport called the Lions. They drew crowds of 30 or 40 on a good night.
Centenary's college soccer teams sometimes get up to 50....all students with free passes.

Does all your evidence exist in the form of anecdotes? This is hardly definitive. I could pick three games featuring big European teams and have an average attendance of 60,000. What would that prove? The same as your anecdotal evidence. Nothing.

I agree.
But I think I'm beginning to understand why soccer tards are so stupid. In soccer there is only one goal. To score a goal. And it almost never happens. In FB there are LOTS of goals that ultimately lead to a win. But it would take 100 pages of text to explain it all. And I'm watching golf on TV.

even still in this situation, they have these things called FAKES which can lead to a TD which you'd STILL rather have than a FG.

Ooooh, a FAKE. Tell me about these FAKES. I've never heard of them.

Here's a graph I made featuring the 2009/2010 season for the major league in each of the countries listed. There is plenty of enough scoring in club football for me.

yeah, we really need to increase the scoring for it to be popular!

you have no clue what you are talking about, have you watched any of the games lately? the first round of group games everyone always plays conservative, you don't wanna get a loss ur first game or u could get screwed.

and i guess college football was super unpopular from 1900-1980 because they didn't score enough

Can you read? I asked who in this thread has ever said something of that nature?

Also could you please provide a link of someone saying soccer will be popular sport in the U.S. in 10 years? I've watched soccer for most of my life, and I've never heard anyone say this. Since I've been around people who actually love the sport, I'll trust my anecdotes over yours.

It seems Zach is dumb enough to take these people's word for gospel. I've never heard a soccer fan ever say soccer would ever be the most popular sport in the U.S., and since Zach can only provide anecdotal evidence, I'll do the same.

If only all of us could provide silly anecdotes. I think his dogs were the ones who told him that soccer would be the most popular sport in the U.S.

I did the math. The average NFL team scored 21.27 points per game last year.
A TD = 6 points. So translating NFL scoring to TDs alone = 3.5 touchdowns per team.
World Cup scoring is still at 0.8

So, which part are you hanging your hat on, math genius?

That a TD is worth 6 points? With a 99% make percentage on XPs.... a TD is worth 7.

Or that all points scored is the same as touchdowns alone?

Or that average goals per game in soccer is .8?

Less than 3.5 is 4 times .8?

I'm done with the idiot.

You know what.... there IS a use for a vuvuzela after all.

Probably the 40 people at Centenary soccer games.

That is the benchmark for the health and future of soccer in America, after all.

Actually, I just looked... Centenary was pulling 100-300 for the games. Which, with patented ZachMath(TM) is about 40....

Again, let me reiterate....

So he was in this thread accusing everyone else of dishonesty, when in fact he was the only one being dishonest? What a surprise. I'm sure he'll never come back to respond, even then, he might only retort with another retarded anecdote.

I don't think Zach understands sarcasm. This might go to his head.
