I would love to see a study because I'd bet my life savings that knew injuries have sky rocketed since targeting was implemented.
Another problem I have is that offensive players go low and the defender basically has no chance. It's miss the tackle or be called for targeting.
It's a seriously flawed rule.

Yeah often times offensive players lower their head to brace for contact and it's impossible for defenders to change their hit at that point. So dumb.
