Central did have a good offense. Fine is a good coach. He won a title at Farmerville. WM is averaging 45 a game though and has a much better defense than Central had. Rummel is very battle tested. They remind me of that Ohio State team that beat Miami in 02. They win ugly and you just keep asking, "How?" but they just keep winning. You have to respect a team like that imo.

you know what you have to respect... how westgate plays in the playoffs..

in '07 Westgate made it to the Semi's as the #29 seed.

Now again in the Semi's as the #21 seed.

what bs?

if Westgate is gonna try and score with a straight up vanilla offense, they are going to have trouble moving the ball.

Rummel has seen that shite all year. You cant tell me they are any better than Barbe or Hahnville or Shaw or Jesuit or St Aug or any other those teams with similar offenses and similar talent.

Westgate beat shaw 18-14. So I guess that does make them better than shaw?

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if any team won next week. It's the semifinals. No walkovers left.

Rummel beat Shaw too. At full strength.

not calling a Rummel blowout vs Westgate, but i think Westgate will have trouble scoring. We'll see. Id love to see Rummel in the dome finally. They have taken their lumps(thanks Evangel)...its their time. Westgate and wait.

I think it will be a Defense of a game.

One thing I hope is an injury free game.

Ran into those bastards 3 times and failed. This is our best chance to get to the Dome in my opinion.

not sure, seems like WM has a similar offense style to Hahnville, but im sure their D is better.
I have never seen them, hard to comment.
Rummel will bring a huge crowd. They've never been. Plus they'll draw people from the metro area that is going to be curious to see them play. Would be a very large crowd.

Westgate first. They aren't where they are because they don't know how to play.
If, big if, it happens, again, cheer for Catholic.
I go to the Classic every year. It's rare a NOLA team gets there. When we do, we think we'll own things. We usually don't. Particularly against WM.
They are a big impressive high school program. In every respect. However, they are not unbeatable. But the home crowd advantage will not decide it.

No it's not (and im a WHS alum). Rummel earned the right to host the playoffs whilst not losing any district games
We really don't know if Rummel is #1 just because they went undefeated in their district. Prior to the playoffs many thought the toughest district was Hahnville's district and look what happen to all those teams.

Rummel's district was probably the toughest

they played Barbe, Mandeville and East St John in the regular season too, all who made the playoffs.

and Shaw, Jesuit, BM, and St Aug all made the playoffs as well.

Not saying they aren't a good team, but #1 seed? That surprised me.
