I feel the same way with Rummel. I'd love for them to win but I'd just be happy for them to get there. I'm glad we finally have some players in the NFL. I think Michael Burke's could have gone to the NFL if he didnt throw his life away trying to be a gangster.

I didn't predict any of those things at all.

A.I said WM would win by 17-21 against Brother Martin because Paul Turner wasn't going to play.

B.I said WM could blow St. Aug. out if Turner and Allen played. If either or both were out WM would have a tough time and win by 7-10 points. Allen didn't play until the last series of the game. I should've accounted for 20 of St. Aug's 26 points to come on turnovers.

C. I said I didn't know if Rummel could score enough points to beat Hahnville. I then said Rummel was battle tested and that was HUGE at this point of the year.

Anything else you want to lie about?

This sounds like Westgate. Good talent going to waste after high school.

fwiw...I don't think anyone predicted WM to blow out St. Aug.

I remember reading the game thread and him saying "if St Aug cant score from there we are gonna roll them"

and something leading up to the game mocking St Aug's "massive OL"...

just saying, every week its like "WM had so and so turn overs, it shouldnt have been that close"...blah blah blah

Baton Rouge. But my family lives in New Iberia, and I have been in New Iberia all week.

And, my dad went to Rummel. So I might check it out.

Actually I said that was why St. Aug. could have a chance. Their line was huge and Jordan Allen wasn't going to play. I said they might be able to play keep away from WM with their huge line.

oh alright. It should be a good game. Looks like it will be a Run vs Run team. Hopefully Westgate defense can stop the run, the way they did vs Mandeville and SL.

Have a safe trip.

Is that not a fact? 20 of their 26 points came off of turnovers. A pick 6, a blocked punt, and a short field after a fumble. If you can predict that those things are going to happen, by all means help me out with some bets.

WESTGATE: Diontae Spencer scored the winning touchdown on a 61 yard run in the fourth quarter and the Westgate High defense came up with two stops late in the game as the No. 21 seed Tigers rallied from a 21-3 second-quarter deficit to beat No. 4 seed Central High 30-27 in the Class 5A regionals.

Spencer rushed for 144 yards and threw for 109 as Westgate advances to play host to No. 1 seed Archibishop Rummel, a 21-7 winner over Hahnville.

Central (11-2) scored twice in the first quarter and returned a 52 yard fumble for a touchdown in the second in building a 21-3 lead with nine minutes left in the second quarter before the Tigers rallied to cut the lead to 21-9 at halftime. The two teams traded scores in the third before Westgate came up with two fourth quarter touchdowns, one on one-yard run from Brandon Malveaux and the other on Spencer’s run.

Central had two chances to score in the fourth quarter, but one drive ended on a missed fourth down conversion and the other drive ended as Westgate sacked Central quarterback Will Briscoe on fourth down with 27 seconds left.

That might be a 10-7 final. Two very stout defenses in that game. Rummel's defense has carried them all year and is definitely legit.

u cant predict that, but those are forced turnovers by results of the other teaming playing well. Thats all I am saying.

Most of the time turnovers just dont happen. The other team deserves credit.

I said St. Aug. played great and deserved all the credit in the world. Just saying I couldn't predict those things were going to happen. The short field yeah as WM seems to do that routinely. I can't remember the last time WM gave up a Pick 6 or a blocked punt. Not both, but one of those.

Yeah after he left Auburn and transfered to Tulane he was hanging out with Tony Converse another Tulance RB. Cops kicked in the door and Burks and Converse were flushing drugs down the toilet. Both lost their scholarships. Burks didnt go anywhere from there and Converse is in jail. Burks was actually starting at Auburn as a freshman. I think he lost his job to Ronnie Brown and Cadillac.

Vote for Jay Roth as Coach of The Year, he deserves it. The poll is on the right in the middle of the page.
