The Twolves also were coming off season where they only 15 and 17 games, nobody expected Love to carry them to a 26-40 record the next year.

If the Twolves win 22 games instead of 26, they wind up with another 5 pick and take Lillard.

Yes, now if someone wants to debate that no team should ever be league owned id down with that.

But the fact of the matter is the GM approved a trade that the owner denied. Its no different with any other team. The owner has ever right to deny a trade and the GM has no authority to approve a trade without the owners consent.

The team never should have been league owned to begin with. But since they were, they were well within their right to deny said trade. Demps should have been fired immediately for approving that crap sandwhich of a trade.

If I recall you had Larry Ellison wanting to buy long before Benson came into the picture. If he is the one offering anything you take it. The Hornets probably would be gone but you've had better markets than N.O lose teams.

As a pels fan myself, i've never understood Sterns attachment to the area but i'm glad they are still there. But as a commish, I probably would have let Ellison buy it.
