Why don't OU and OkState play the bedlam game the last week of the season like all the other rivalry games?

Some years they have. It kind of moves around. It's weird.

I'm thinking they moved it with the high likelihood of playing in back to back weeks.

They just started it back this year. Playing a championship game after a round robin where you don't have divisions seems like the height of stupidity, but I guess they felt they need to after 2014.

Started this year. They moved bedlam so they wouldn’t play back to back weeks. Big 12 doesn’t have divisions. Top 2 teams play in the championship.

Actually they moved it back to the way it had been for years.
OU used to play OSU earlier and Nebraska during rivalry weekend.
When the BIG 8 became the B12 they moved bedlam to rivalry weekend.
