If 2003 LSU isn't #1 then frick this list.

FOR REALZ!!!!!!

Actually, to my knowledge, I think the Miami 01? team was by far the best. You could have had andrew hatch at qb and that team would have still beat the frick out of you.

Miami 2001 was loaded with a lot of pro talent but '95 Nebraska was loaded too and Miami would've had no answer for Tommie Frazier and Lawrence Phillips.Would have been great to see those 2 play. Those 2 teams are always listed 1 and 2 sometimes flipped.

The most difficult defenses against the option have either fast linebackers or a dominant DT. 2001 Miami had Vilma and DJ Williams at linebacker and Vince Wilfork on the D-Line. This proved to be true when they held a Nebraska team that had averaged 37 ppg to only one offensive touchdown.

It obviously would have been a good game and Osborne was a far better coach than Larry Coker, but I'll take the team that had a dozen future Pro Bowlers.

I stopped reading there... Maybe you should stick to some teams you have actually seen play... Say top national championship teams from 2002 to present

Tommie Frazier and Lawrence Phillips lit up a Miami team with Warren Sapp and Ray Lewis in the Orange Bowl the previous year and '94 Nebraska wasn't even close to being as good as their '95 team.

Look at the box score before saying that they "lit up" Miami.

199 rush yards, 4.3 ypc, 7 point margin
