After Bush and Tebow, they really are underwhelming from a wow factor. Yeah they put up good numbers but outside of Palmer, did any of them actually scare you?

Leinart
Bradford
White
Crouch
Ingram
Smith
Weinke

I mean seriously did any of them scare you or was it just the teams they played on?

Much stronger list than the last decade IMO Also has a strong list of second place finishers Larry Fitzgerald Adrian Peterson Vince Young Darren McFadden

One could easily argue that the second place finishers should have won it over the winners.

Any list without Tebow on top and Bush near bottom is garbage.

Hey man I’m just agreeing with you. Not taking the idea as my own.

McFadden in that damn wildcat still gives me nightmares.

Sam Bradford’s season was quietly fricking amazing
4720 yards, 50 TDs 8 INTs

Feel like not many talk about that especially back then when passing wasn’t what it is today

People need to stop buying into this revisionist history. Wide open spread passing team were already a thing by 2008. The only difference between now and then is scheme. The RPO and HUNH were not really around at that particular point in time. But offenses were already spreading the defense out and throwing it all over the field in those days. Oklahoma had five straight games of scoring 60 points or more to finish out their season that year.

You are completely right
I am very very wrong

That said Bradford deserved that Heisman

100% agreed but I feel as if Tebow's performance against better competition made him equally as worthy of the award, if not more so.

What’s this have to do with college awards?

I don't think it was quiet at all, at the time I think it was the best or most efficient offense in cfb history. I remember prior to our rose bowl tbe media saying that baker had the most efficient qb season in history surpassing bradfords 08 season.

Imo people just don't really think about it bc of how bad they lost the title game. Similar to 2011 lsu potentially being one of the ~5 best teams of all time prior to January but now just being a trivia question due to what happened in the title game

Idk, i just feel like it’s often overlooked
Even the year he won it was very “oh well let’s just give it to him”

Granted Texas Tech QBs were putting up those kinda numbers yearly (and this was the first year they actually started winning games)

Bush and Tebow are top 2 by a pretty wide margin, both being CFB legends.

Most of those other guys are forgettable in time. Ingram or Leinart would maybe be next in line.

They didn't really lose it badly. The final score was 24-14. Oklahoma and Florida were tied at 14 early in the fourth quarter, and was 17-14 until Florida scored a touchdown with three minutes to play in the game.
