Random Question: Did Jermaine Gresham get robbed of the 2008 Mackey Award?

I was wikipedia-ing Jermaine Gresham b/c of TNF and noticed he had a great year in 2008 for Oklahoma, but didnt win the Mackey Award.
His numbers 66 catches, 950 yards, and 14 TD.
The winner, Chase Coffman, had 90 catches, 987 yards, and 10 TD.
The 90 receptions is an impressive stat, but Gresham had more TDs and almost as much yardage with 24 fewer catches.

Chase Coffman was a freaking stud.
You could argue Gresham should have won. To say he got robbed is a little harsh IMO.
