Sampras was a better all around player than Nadal because Pete had a much bigger serve and a serve and volley game.

Curious how that makes him a better all-around player.

Sampras had a complete game. Nadal is just a ground stroker. I'd even say Sampras' ground stroking was better than Nadal's.

I agree with Nadal, I've tuned in more recently to watch Nadal and Federer than I ever did with Sampras.

Sampras just destroyed people in his prime but when he lost it, he lost it.

Federer does seem to be coming back to the pack a little now but him vs Nadal has been the best thing for the sport

I think Nadal takes him on clay, and Sampras on grass.

Come on CajunFootball! Think Nadal takes him on Clay? Sampras would have to play one of his best clay court matches ever to win 6 games.

It'd look something like 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 IMO

Nadal at his 2008 level would bagel Sampras at least once on clay IMHO

Yea I was gonna give one of the all-time greats a break and was worried people would jump down my through if I threw up a 6-0, but I definitely agree with you.

Federer got bageled in the FO final that year and only won 4 games total. Sampras would have done worse
