I didn’t read the book but based on is the key phrase. It’s certainly possible because he was 6’9” which yes was unprecedented for a PG but also per the show/book West wanted Sidney Moncrief because he was a better scorer. His first 3 years Moncrief avg 8.5, 14 and 19.6. Magic avg 18, 21.6 18.6. Moncrief was a nice player but not in Magic’s league
