He is good but the best in college this year. No.

This is about the NFL draft, not College this year.

Again, this about the NFL draft, not College.

Wilson is ahead of all of those QB's listed but Barkley in Mocks.

Wilson is the #6 pick on WF, and the #18 on DraftCountdown.

Why would Logan Thomas return? He's not going to learn anything else in college because Beamer views offense as a afterthought. With the new rookie salaries someone will take him, and either give him a limited package of plays or sit him for a year. Late first round picks make what? A million and half? 2 mil a year now. Not a bad gamble at all especially if he pays off.

His best comparison is Josh Freeman. Not a bad comparison at all.

Barkley is Mark Sanchez 2.0. Sanchez makes Gabbert look like a decent quarterback.

Not really sure who I'd compare Geno to. WVU has fallen off the map in the worst way, but it's nowhere near on his shoulders because that defense is one of the worst in BCS history.

In my mind, the most important thing that does the best job predicting the success of a college QB (with all the physical measurables) at the NFL level is their win-loss record. Aaron Rodgers led Cal to a top 10 finish in his junior year. Drew Brees led Purdue to a Rose Bowl. Matt Ryan had B.C at #2 in the BCS rankings at one point in the 2007 season. Big Ben led Miami of Ohio to a top 10 finish in his final season. Eli Manning elevated Mississippi's program when he was there. RGIII helped turn Baylor into a competitive program. Andrew Luck won big at Stanford. All the great NFL QBs took their college football team to another level when they were there. I don't see that with any of these QBs. There's a good chance that Matt Barkley will have led USC to only one top 25 finish in his four seasons as a starter. Logan Thomas doesn't even has Virginia Tech bowl eligible in the ACC. Geno Smith has West Virginia at 5-5 in the Big 12. You could throw Tyler Bray in the mix as well. All of these QBs are a bunch of losers. It'll be foolish to waste a high draft pick on any of them.

This is the dumbest thing I've read all day.

Assigning wins and losses to QBs? Brilliant!

I just pulled up some mock drafts and SEVERAL of them have Geno Smith going ahead of Barkley and going quite high (like numero uno). I didn't think Smith was that coveted as an NFL prospect. Shows what I know.

All of these quarterbacks have two things in common and if you have an ounce of football you know what each of those commonalities are and you know why your post is bullshite.

Read the rest of my post. Name a top QB in the NFL who didn't take their CFB program to another level. There aren't any.

Calling it bullshite is giving his post way too much credit.

Tom Brady. Michigan was appreciably better under his predecessor.

Any more brain busters?

I'm not saying that any QB with a good win-loss record in college is going to do well in the NFL. I'm saying that any QB with a mediocre win-loss record is not going to do well in the NFL. All of the good QBs in the NFL either won big or took terrible football programs and made them respectable i.e. RGIII.

Tom Brady had an .800 winning percentage as a starting QB at Michigan. How the frick was he "not a winner" in college?

Jay Cutler strongly disagrees. Philip Rivers does too.

Jay Cutler
Tony Romo
Blaine Gabbert
Chad Henne
Philip Rivers
Carson Palmer
Russell Wilson
Matt Schaub
Christian Ponder
Matthew Stafford
Andy Dalton
Brandon Weeden
Mark Sanchez

All of these quarterbacks contradict that statement.

Any more fail from you this evening?

No one said he wasn't a winner. He just wasn't as successful as his predecessor.

Hey moron, you asked somebody to "name a top QB in the NFL who didn't take their CFB program to another level", and so that's what I gave you.

Don't get mad at the answer. You asked the question.

What are you talking about? All of the successful QBs on that list except for Cutler who's been criticized throughout for his career for not being a great leader or a winner and Matt Schaub won a lot of games in college.
