quote:I like them a lot but the committee did them no favors. If Virginia, arizona, and Kentucky had all been placed in different regions I think I might have picked all three to go to the final four. Instead only one of those teams will be left halfway through the tournament. And that doesn’t even include creighton who could be a tough second round matchup for UVA. Brutal bracket.
Not much love for UVA in here.

Kentucky doesnt have anywhere close to the man to man defense to defend Ayton. He would massacre their frontcourt.
Kentucky would need huge games from their wings. Which is very possible. Teams like Purdue with equal size gave them fits early in the season. Just a matchup problem is all.
Kentucky would need to go zone to limit his effectiveness.

quote:Who does though? It seems like Kentucky would have as good of a chance as anybody. Kentucky has some big athletic bodies that have been well coached on man to man defense.

UVA winning it all.
Side note: to those of you picking Michigan - U of H is going to run them out of the gym in the second round.

Seen Kentucky, and they have nowhere near the defensive rim protection they had over the years. One of the softest frontcourts in Calipari's tenure.
I like Kentucky, but it will be tough playing man to man against Arizonas size.
Purdue had their own 7 footer. Also, Arizona has been playing great ball since early this season both at home and on the road.
Will be a good game either way. Kentucky is a sleeper for sure and playing great too. Just looking at it from a logistics point of view. That is all.

I don't have the guts to pull the trigger on Rhode Island, but I like where your head is at.
