Not enough touches to go around in OKC.

No because then we couldn't discuss members like this.
That's what wildcat was talking about, it's a hall of fame for people who have "contributed to the game of basketball worldwide." Is the thread that you don't like that and want to offer reasons why that's a bad idea?

But assuming Harden would be on the bench forever in OKC is misleading. You also don't take in the hypothetical- Harden could come off the bench and play 31 mins a game (what he did last year) and attempt 10 shots a game (what he did last year) until his late 30s. Since roughly 40% of his shots made were 3 pointers. In addition to roughly five FT made a game
we will go simple math here
3 of 5 shots made at 2 points = 6 points
2 of 5 shots made at 3 points = 6
5 of 6 free throws at 1 point = 5 points
17 points a game x 82= 1394 points a season
assuming he plays until his late 30s will use 38. Given the fact that he is an elite scorer, yet is more rested his numbers should not drop significantly we look at
1392 x 16 more seasons= 22304 points + his first 3 seasons = 25099 points scored in a career. That would put him ahead of Patrick Ewing, Allen Iverson, Charles Barkely, Larry Bird, Clyde Drexler, etc.
so yeah even on the bench he could be a HOFer, strictly based on numbers.
