Well just about everyone in this thread is your age and hasn't watched football for more than 15 years. SO AGAIN I AM RIGHT AND YOU ARE WRONG!!!

It's hard to compare players from different eras. Salary cap changed so much, when Elway was in his prime the NFC was in the middle of winning like 20 straight Super Bowls.

But he took THREE Broncos teams to the SB even though they got killed. He was almost by himself at that time.

That's my point, he was going against much more talented teams in those games.

One of the things that impressed me about Elway was that he was able to get to SBs w/o a running game.

Of course, he didn't win a SB until the Broncos got Terrell Davis...

Exactly, so the AFC sucked.

It's not Peyton's fault he is playing in the same era as maybe the greatest football dynasty of all-time led by another possible top 5 QB of all-time. And they are in the same conference.

You're an idiot, a BIG frickING IDIOT.
John Elway's career rating: 79.9
Peyton's: 95.3

John Elway's TD-INT: 300-226 (1.33:1)
Peyton's: 345-169 (2.04:1)

Elway's MVPs: 1
Peyton's: 3

And please dont pull shite out your arse, out of those 5, he got blown the frick out in 3 of them. So your argument should be Elway - 2, Peyton - 1. Not 5!

He wasn't a one man show come on. You can't be a one man show and make it to the SB. Yes I am over 30 and have been watching football for over 15 years

You can't SFP*. You have to remember Elway had no running game for most of his career.

I think I would take Peyton in my top 3. I also think I could make a case for Marino, and yes I know he didnt win a SB, but that is more of a team acomplishment. I also will put Unitas up there in my top 5, just due to him "inventing" 2 min drill and throwing TD pass in 48 straight.

My list as I just sit here and think about it is as follows (no real order)

Graham
Unitas
Marino
Manning
Staubach
Young
Montana
Kelly
Tarkenton
Baugh

Yeah, cause you do.
If football knowledge was measured by the use of caps lock, you'd be the GOAT, PJ.
