They could take the top 6 MWC teams for 2024. Then drop the last place team and promote the MWC champ.
But I don't know if the MWC would go for that.

I like this idea. Most of the Group of 5 hates being there and is jockeying to get a spot in one of the power conferences. This gives these schools an opportunity to win their way in.
I wish Tulane could be a part of something like this and maybe add a travel partner like Memphis
