Pac 10 should try to get Utah and Boise State

Why hasn't there been any talk of either joining the Pac 10? Both would add depth in football to a weak conference. I know the Pac 10 isn't as football savvy as the SEC, but they really should look into this.
They could then split the league into to 6 team divisions and have a conference championship. Everyone wins!

Academics, facilities, money generating power, etc.

I'd hope high and mighty USC isn't scared of Utah.

I would go with Utah and BYU, but whatever.

I really don't know where Boise St. and Utah stand academically, but with 2 BCS Bowl wins for Utah and 1 for Boise State I'd say they'd be at least middle of the road in the Pac 10.

Well yeah they'd be competitive. They'd automatically be middle of the road Pac-10 teams from a football standpoint. The Pac-10 would never accept them though unless their academics were similar to the majority of the conference. Also, I can guarantee Utah and Boise's facilities for all sports aren't nearly up to par with the rest of the Pac-10.

It would help their other sports too. they'd get more recruits.

Utah would be a great pick up, but Boise State, ehhh not so much. I understand they continue to win, but I just don't think they could hang in a big time conference.

I just looked on USNews.com and the University of Utah is listed as more selective in admissions while Arizona State is listed as selective. I think the Pac 10 can make this happen.

Possibly in the long run. Nothing could be done in the short term though due to facilities though. I'm not exactly sure on attendance numbers, but I know neither has a huge football stadium. Beyond that, things like track, baseball, softball, etc. aren't up to snuff either.
I'd love for it to happen, but that's a loooong process.

Damn, I forgot about how much the Pac 10 cared about rowing and rhythmic gymnastics and all that shite no one cares about.

The sole reason Stanford dominates the Director's Cup year in and out.
