But again for all the “oh my god” Luka got traded crowd.
It’s not just that he got traded. It’s how he got traded. The question is why they did it when they did.
Luka was definitely a little lazy and pretty much didn’t play defense but I don’t think he deserved what he got. There has to be a story there.

the revenge spot, Luka chose violence. He must have woke up this morning with a serious case of the "frick yous" for the Mavs
I just looked at the box score and was expecting a lot more based off of this post

the return needed to include Reaves or another first, the “haul” was weak
and concerned about Luka’s health/laziness when AD can’t even stay on the court is really confusing as the centerpiece of such a “blockbuster” trade

I was more basing it off what he did in the first half. He calmed down a little in the 2nd half, but damn near had a triple double in the first.

The heist of the century. Without a doubt, the dumbest trade in the history of the NBA, If that crazy GM wanted AD he could have still gotten him simply by opening up the proposed trade to all teams. LA would have had to turn over AD and a ton of assets if they had gone this route. Instead, LA stoled this guy in what amounts to almost a one-to-one trade. The Lakers still have all these great role players and can go out during the offseason and get a talented center for the future.
Wow, that was absolute stealing and will pay dividends long after King James calls it a day.
