If Dufner is ranked 30th in the world that's surprising to me. Not sure what it says about the state of the game.

You should post less about golf...

Dufner has a strong game...

Not surprising coming from a Barner. I've forgotten more about the game and the Tours than you could ever hope to learn.

It seems as though no one in this thread that "follows golf" realizes how well dufner has been playing for a while now

Doesnt matter where he went to college. The kid is good. Which is why he is a top 10 player.

He's 35 and just got his first Tour win. I'm sure he's a hell of a nice guy on and off the course. I just don't see him as a world class player.

To be fair, it was mostly the first 2 rounds. I think 2 out of the 4 tourneys in Florida this year he had the lead/share after 2 days and didn't finish in the top 10 either time.

He played well and deserved this win. I get the AU guys pulling for him. However he is not a big name on tour. I'd rather see Ernie, who I'm not a big fan of, win over Duffner. I want to see big names come back to play here. Bubba would have skipped if he hadn't won last year.

So far this year

Played in 12 tournaments

11 cuts
3 top 10's
1 win
His average score is less than 70 on all his rounds

$1,985,000 winnings

Not to say what he did last year..

But his Weekend rounds are

71 and 71.67

compared to Thurs/Fri

69 and 68.6

Just so everyone knows, I'm happy he finally got over the hump but it's not like he was playing THAT great.

is 30th in the world "world class?" Besides the world rankings are computed poorly. There are guys ahead of dufner who I don't feel have been as good as him for a year now and guys behind him who are probably considered "world class"

Jason moved to 9th in the Fedex standings after todays win. I know its a money list but its still a decent indication of how he is playing so far

Lets be honest, they both tried to choke and give it away.It took six attempts before one of them would birdie the par 5
