i doubt you can name 2 players on the navy team let alone project how their offense is going to be run...

I dont know names but I watched about 3 of their games before i bet on them in the Army/Navy game. I know exactly how their offense runs.

But you are a ND homer so you will argue no matter what.

you analyze games like a prepubescent child.

at least argue with substance and facts. i didnt predict either side of the line.

I didnt predict either side of the line.

More Navy info:

Lost one of their best OLB prospect. Their 2 starting DE left the team. Their best DL graduated. They have a brand new DL coach coaching up a bunch of guys who are about Teo's size and weight on the DL. Navy does have experienced CBs, but ND is not going to be throwing much because they are starting a new QB.

Navy has also been throwing the ball a lot in preseason scrimmages, which has led many to believe they are not getting the job done along the offensive line; an option team practicing the pass often? Hmm...

Projecting this game is too difficult I feel considering the travel and the weather in Dublin being an unknown. The under has some support because the NAVY FG kickers are god awful and they havent even name a starter yet; any long drive they develop could be stalled with zero points unless they punch it in the EZ. But Navy is not as good of a team as they were last year, keep that in mind.

I realize that, it was just a simple question as to what team you root for.

That's pretty dumb. People who don't have lines run options because it's read based and letting the defense make the wrong moves. People with bad OLines normally don't think hey! Let's drop back and try to throw it.

But I'm a 11 year old boy so what do I know

Navy runs upwards of 85-95% of the time. Their preseason scrimmages and practices mainly consist of running formations throughout the past several years. This year, it has not been that way. Many Navy analysts have noted the change to be more pass heavy in practice, which many feel because their Oline will not be able to perform at a high level. In other words, they will be behind in more games and have to throw the ball to play catch-up. It also should be noted that Navy can not afford to lose their starting QB, so this move helps potentially preserve his health instead of taking the typical option QB pounding.

But anyways, if your line sucks, you wont be able to run or pass so your *point* is negligible.

I would support the under, if I had to bet, but I dont see it as a lock; that was my point. Navy does not have a FG kicker yet; they still had 3 guys vying for the starting position as of last week; they have been awful. If Navy does put together a long drive, it could be worth zero unless they punch in the EZ. Those non-FGs could add up.

But this doesnt project to be a Navy team that is going to be capable of chewing up a ton a clock as has been their formula for success in recent years. You can call me an ND homer all you want, but we have our best offensive line since 1988 so ND *should* dominate this game in the trenches. It typically is rainy overcast and chilly in Dublin this time of year so the weather could also be a factor. How will the players adjust to the time zone difference? That also is an unknown.

Again, Id lean under but Id look for a better option.

I think the under is the play. 70% chance of rain over there this time of year, jet lag, and Navy will be running the ball on 75-80% of the plays regardless of camp reports.

Gee Gee Greene
John Howell

..and for added effect, Army's starting RB:

Raymond Maples.

I drafted all 3 of these guys in a CFB Fantasy League.

What do I win?

Who else just jumped on NC St(+3.5)

I was already leaning that way for some reason, but the Rogers suspension pushed me over the edge..small play though
