Tots, Tebow, Avatiger, etc...join the Top 10 poll. We need a few more intelligent bodies willing to devote 5 minutes of the time once a week.

Locked in:
Bama -12.5
Ohio St -22.5
If anyone thinks Dernard can get away with his sissy throws and/or run over an SEC defense they are out of their minds. Don't look any further than his Gator Bowl performance vs Mississippi State. Yeah, that was 2 seasons ago but I don't think he was any better in 2011 than he was in 2010.
SEASON CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT
2011 142 258 2173 55.0 8.42 77 20 15 13 139.7
2010 182 291 2570 62.5 8.83 75 18 11 7 149.6
Regarding Ohio St., my betting is solely based on Urban Meyer. He would want to make a splash in his debut game at Ohio St. He always ran up scores against gimmes while he was at Florida and Utah. In fact, he has the best record ATS (71-43-1) of all current coaches.
I'm still looking for another 3 or 4 games for straight betting and a fun 3 team parlay and 3 team teaser. I'll closely follow this thread the whole season for some good betting insights.

Interdasting... Why did he transfer?
He got beat out by Mannion whom I think is a very good qb without an offensive line. Ryan Katz seemed to regress with the bad offensive line. He has a cannon for an arm though.

Just starting my research but here is what I have so far.
Locked In:
Ohio St -22.5
USC -38
Both of these based on coaches and superior talent. Urban Meyer is fantastic everywhere he goes in the 1st year. Have the perfect QB for his system and crowd will be fired up as well as players.
Kiffen wants to put on a show and stay at number 1. No way Hawaii can handle their offensive fire power.
Leans:
La Tech +7.5 (their super bowl at home. A&M suspect QB)
Nc St +3.5 (great QB, solid rushing attack, best db in country)
Mich St -7 (very solid D, Boise replacing too much)
Navy +16.5 (tough team to plan against, ND QB and Wr questions)
Wvu -24 (so good on O, will remember close game last year)
Bama -12 (think Michigan is overrated after seeing them in person, Saban all summer to prepare for Robinson, Bama domaninting ground game)
Texas -28.5 (really like UT D and can't see Wyoming move the ball on them)
V Tech -7 (night game in Blacksburg, really like V Tech QB, G Tech much tougher mid year game when you only have a week to prepare)
Stay aways:
Oregon -35.5 (new QB and could easily see Malzan with back door cover)
Oklahoma -30.5 (too many Wrs out and game on road, love OU this year because of schedule and solid on both sides)
That's what I have so far. Lurked last year but will be more involved in this thread this year especially once all my research is done.

Ga Tech could easily beat Va Tech. I'm thinking about putting a few dollars on the moneyline to go with my +8. Ga Tech's D is better this year and I think it's actually tough for someone to open against the triple option. You have more time to prepare but less practice with the fundamentals like tackling. If anything take the points in that game otherwise I'd avoid. Just my 11 cents.

The email list is going to be the everyone in this thread soon
Love everyone giving input I'm itching to do mine. I might do a game or two tonight and of course will post with you guys.
I am also willing to do write ups for games that anyone asks me to for them for the most part so just post in here to me asking for a certain game and will see what I have for you.
Thinking about making a twitter account and posting my plays and halftime plays and what not. Would that be something y'all would be interested in me doing or is it not worth my time?

Very good points. Planning on avoiding but if it goes below 7 I may make a small bet on V Tech. Need to look at both teams more to make a decision.

This is a huge spread for the game. However, this is a Sunbelt team that has 3 full time returning starters (arky state fans are telling me there are more part time starters) returning on defense. The point is that they are rebuilding.
Also, one fan (there aren't too many) is saying that the scrimmages aren't looking that good.
Remember too that Malzahn is going to push the pace, so the over at 65 is a good one.

Also leaning UF -28.5. Love their D this year and like Texas v Wyoming, I can't see Bowling Green moving the ball. Waiting to see how the QB situation plays out.

I am not saying right or wrong just want to remind that Va Tech returns 8 starters on defense so they may be able to put more prep time in. This is one I am interested in seeing how it plays out as money seems to be leaning toward Ga Tech, at least by posts here and looking around other sites.

Can you give me your insight on Navy +16.5 vs ND at Ireland? ND seems to have QB issues and as someone said earlier, Navy has played ND close since they broke the losing streak in 2007 (except last year at South Bend).

I did too, until they lost starting Sr C and RG. Over 40 starts between the 2. I will wait and see with Okie.

Mine is based more on schedule. 2 cupcakes, bye, K State at home, bye, then at T Tech and Red River shoot out. Texas has at OSU and home for WVU before OU.

I will look at that game later but I gave a mini opinion about a page or two back if you want to look for that

I agree with these locks. I like a lot of your leans...I really think Mavy covers that +16.5...Notre Dame hasn't blown many opponents out the past few seasons and lost a lot of key contributors on both sides of the ball, and are suspect at QB at best. Navy lost their QB from last year, but as long as they have someone that can manage the triple option I see them giving ND fits.
FYI for everyone...La Tech is up to +8 on Sportsbook. I think I'm going to hold off and see if it goes up anymore. If it goes up much more I am jumping on it.
I would stay away from Oregon also. Big spread and have a lot to replace a lot in that offense.

Going to be dropping in this thread sparingly early, but once work gets slowed down I'll get more involved later probably. This will be my first serious year betting.
Only game I've got money on so far is Oklahoma -31. I see that as one of those games where it's 14-3 midway through the second quarter then a couple quick scores before half and it just gets out of hand in the second half. Pretty typical of an early season OU/non bcs team game.
