I guess this is where we disagree. I don't think he had control of it when it hit the ground but I also honestly did not think there was enough to overturn the original call on the field.

Interesting discussion on post game. Should targeting be a spot foul if it is the cause of an incomplete pass? He 100% catches that if not for the targeting.

Shenanigans by the refs to end this game!

I haven't felt this mixed in a while

CFB gods are fickle

LSU wins a thriller and ASU gets robbed

This is why this game is so amazing/frustrating

If there's still spot PI then 100%

That seems like way too much of a judgement call

Interesting. Should be looked at. Why should you benefit from a foul like that?

Well we agree there, not enough to overturn

I don’t like how replay seems to have evolved to the point where it doesn’t really matter what the call on the field was and they just make their best judgement through replay. That’s not how it was ever supposed to work

I already turned the channel but whether it hit the ground or not is not even worth arguing. It's whether or not he had control of the ball when it hit the ground that is the question.

Yeah, even I'll admit, I don't KNOW if he had control or not, but I don't think he did. I don't think a hunch should be enough to overturn the original call. I don't think you can know that for sure.

Yea you’d be asking a referee to determine whether targeting caused an incompletion or just legislating that All passes be considered complete at the spot if targeting comes into play which would of course be absurd

There’s just no good way to fix it

On top of all this there was blatant PI on the play in question but ahh well
