went to that race in 2002 i think. first nascar experience and it was awesome. I usually just go to the Indy 500 now-a-days, but would love to make it back and see #18 in winners circle.

Looks like that 48 car is on rails. He has to be the favorite to win tomorrow, it would seem.

The Motor Spreedway is amazing....a lot of money in the facility and a great golf course (Brickyard Crossings).

If you have been there...I highly suggest making a trip.

I will be pulling for Smoke or Jr.!

I heard at Indy you can't see the whole track during the race while viewing from the stands. How does that effect the race experience?

The track is huge....the straightaway is long. They have huge monitors for viewing of the race. The cool thing with Indy cars, when they hit the start and finish bricks, it makes a "chirp" sound".

I was fortunate one day to play the course while they were out testing for the Brickyard 400 (During June)...cool that I hitting a drive while Mark Martin, Jr, Kennseth, Kane, etc are buzzing by. The course has 5 holes that you can view the track....a cool museum inside the track....it is not a trashy place by no means...place is just impressive.

Shrub won the Nation Wide today and then thanked NASCAR and everyone that was bitching about the extra horsepower toyota had.

he claimed the spacer he had to run with gave him more down force so he could turn on a flat track.

i don't think so Kige. most hate him for challenging #3.

gordon was good, but he is a whiner and a cry baby.

no doubt-- that crap he said about elliott sadler a few weeks ago was uncalled for.

i lost all respect for him when he poor mouthed Hamlin last year at Talledega, after smoke ran into the #11 taking them both out.

i will be glad to see him gone from JGR. if they bring Legano up-- Busch, Hamlin, Legaon----young team and future of NASCAR
