Barbe scored on a one-play drive with 2:11 left, so it's safe to say WM had a 20-point lead and the ball and 2:30 or so left. One more first down and they kneel for a 20-point win.

Yet, somehow, Barbe won

Stats: WM: Mims 27-309, 5 TDs, Williams 17-162, 2 TDs. WM 50-555 rushing, 0-1 passing

Barbe: Fontenot 24-36, 418 yards, 6 TDs. Wish I had him on my fantasy team. Also 14-22 rushing
Quinn 8-123 (Barbe had a big glitch in the stat computer that had given him extra yards, but they corrected it), 2 TDS
Galentine 7-115 receiving, 7-46 rushing. TDs both rushing and receiving
Smith 4-48, 2 TDs, Leger 1-54, TD

Yards: WM 555, Barbe 490.

Best comeback I've seen. Maybe the best high school game I've seen.

Does this heart breaking loss send WM's second favorite son into retirement??

And the best part is the West Monroe fans were chanting na na na na, hey hey hey goodbye. Along with taunting such things as Rebels Rebels Rebels & overrated overrated.

I sure hope they enjoyed the 5 hour ride home!

Actually, many of the kids saying those things were from Sulphur and Sam Houston sitting on the visitor side taunting our Barbe guys.

They had some pretty butt hurt fans that said whenever Acadiana fans sang that in 2010 that it was bad taste.

The best part of that game was the barbe fan sitting on Acadianas side cheering for West Monroe. That guy was full of class......

The Rebels chant has been around since 1993. Not sure how that is taunting. I've never heard the Na Na Na chants at a WM game. The only time I've heard OVERRATED was against Fountainebleau because they brought a huge overrated sign to WM. I'd be inclined to believe the other poster.

Well I was there last night, so believe it when I say all 3 were hollered. Maybe taunting isn't the correct word, but when it's hollered slowly....reeeeebels reeeeebels, it takes that tone.
