Always bet against Montreal, they are horrible this year. And now with Kaberle you want to take penalties against them, you are ensured they wont shoot the puck.

Ryan Nugent Hopkins has to have an 100 MPH slap shot. Crazy good.

I am totally for Seattle getting an NHL franchise...It actually would help Vancity in terms of travel and NBA basketball would be back in Seattle/Washington State which is damn shame they left in the first place....but and this is a big but, Seattle will not be a relocated team, that will go to QC to right an historic wrong...I see an expansion team in Seattle and Toronto both costing around 350-400 million

I think Florida and Phoenix will move within the next five years. I doubt the league will expand. PHX to Seattle, FLA to Hamilton.

Which goes first Baloo? Fla or Phoenix? Also my ESPN Insider article says Winnipeg makes the playoffs this year

What Historic wrong has QC suffered? The Nords were losing money and left. They gave them plenty of time to keep them.

Nah man, that's not the whole story....Marcel Aubut the owner was blanked by the separatist Quebec provincial Government at the time, Aubut was a federalist and when their 3rd rate arena (15k fans capacity) couldn't cover payroll the Nords asked for Provincial help...Parizeau the old Kunt basically said frick you Canada boy...deal is Nords were caught in the same trap as The Jets...low Canadian dollar...65. American at the time and all salaries were in Yankee bucks and their TV contract was crap...remember they were close...in fact the Avs won the Stanley cup with essentially the same team a short time after moving there...so i get it...you don't want any competition in Quebec but you guys need it, just like how the Leafs need a second team to compete against in Toronto...

The Nords were basically portrayed as the separatist, IMO, toward the NHL. The Avs should send Eric Lindros and Mario Trembley a ring also. Hextall was the only Nord that was a selling point at time of move.

If Florida moves, there's no way Bettman keeps Tampa Bay isolated.

hmmmm, Bring back the Harford Whalers? (even though Hartford is now tapped into Bruins TV ratings.)

At the time of the move it was Hextal's team. Forsberg or Ricci weren't "names". I meant we could say Goulet and Gosslin were the biggest draw but they had left by then.

Word up here in Philly is that Pronger's got what Crosby had. They're taking him to Pitt tomorrow to make absolutely sure.

NHLPA rejects realignment.
Sounds like douchebag Donald fehr is at it again. I hate that guy. Hope this doesn't lead to bad blood as labor negotiations start up soon

quote:

"The NHLPA has denied the realignment. Thought it was supposed to be a rubber stamp. #NHL"

From Bill Daly: “We believe the Union acted unreasonably in violation of the League’s rights. We intend to evaluate all of our available legal options and to pursue adequate remedies, as appropriate.”
