guy is in court in front of a woman judge for domestic violence where he apparently head butted a woman and he is going to slap the attorney on the arse? you sit there and say yes mam, no mam, and dont do anything else. sorry but i have no sympathy for stupidity like that

This is exactly why ocho is stupid for trying to be a clown. He's on a domestic battery charge for striking a female and he is appearing before a female judge. Sit there and shut the frick up.

I don't know anything about the law so somebody answer this for me. Is her say the final say? I get that he would have been much better off with a simple head nod and shouldn't have done what got him into court in the first place but I don't get how she has that power "just because." I mean seriously she has to write on the paper she is sentencing him to jail because he made people laugh in the courtroom? Really?

She can hold him in contempt for up to 6 months. Also, the appellate court, I think, reviews it under an "abuse of discretion" standard, which means the trial judge can basically do whatever the frick she wants on these types of rulings.

he was in there for violating his probation. he is essentially at the mercy of the judge
when 18 year old jamal from the ghetto violates his probation, he usually doesnt have the luxury of a plea deal. he just goes straight to jail

Well, that is my point. If he should have been going to jail she should have sent him to jail in the first place. If the plea deal shouldn't have been made then say no to that in the first place. But she sent him to jail for the butt slap and making people laugh. I get she is Almighty but that is a little too much power for me. Heading home.

She should not be a judge anymore. A judge is supposed to be fair and impartial. Her judgement in this matter was completely irrational and due to the fact rational fair judgement is THE prerequisite to hold the position, she should be fired. Immediately.

this is also for a guy who isnt exactly on the best side of the judge.
the guy is in court with a woman judge for a domestic abuse case for head butting his ex-wife. he failed to meet with his probation officer for 3 months straight, which violated his probation. judge also said this wasnt the first time he has acted up in court. going into that court room with an opportunity like he was getting considering all that has gone down, i would expect him to do nothing but sit there and say yes mam, no mam, im very pleased with my attorney, thank you judge.
