I've read the entire thread cum dumpster, and all of your arguments are irrelevant to the thread topic. Please tell me that msu or auburn would have made it in the championship game last year if they were in your spot. Again, I expect this to go unaddressed.

I think they will be hyping LSU and Alabama till the November matchup. And they will pick one team at that point who they swear has the best chance to beat the winner of the LSU/Bama matchup.

If MSU or Auburn were exactly the same as Bama
- had won 09 title
- one of the greatest defenses of all time
- Heisman-caliber runningback
- inarguably the best coach in CFB
- had only lost 9-6 in OT to the undisputed #1 team in a game that seemed totally inconclusive to the objective eye whether you will admit it or not
- etc etc
then yes, they would've been in over Okie State who lost to ISU

Back to the topic of the OP:
IF LSU wins in BR, they will start hyping up Bama again for the rematch. If LSU loses, that eliminates LSU.
Until then, it will be Notre Dame or FSU, whichever team has the obvious, easiest route to going unbeaten. I haven't looked at the schedules, but I'd venture to guess FSU has the easiest road at this point.

Simple yes or no, would last year's MSU team have gotten a rematch in the national championship game over Oklahoma state? Given all their same players, etc.

As an LSU fan, I know this would NEVER happen. Wouldn't have happened last year either even with our "historical" schedule.
As a fan of College Football, I wouldn't want it to happen. Had LSU lost to Bama last year in retard land 9-6, I would have been the first LSU fan to tell you we belonged in the Sugar Bowl, at best, not the NCG. If you can't win your conference, much less your own division, you don't belong in a championship game in CFB.

"But, but, we shouldn't have had to play them! It's the media! Yes, we lost to a better team, but we shouldn't have to play them and be awarded an easy championship!"
